AQUATIC NUISANCE SPECIES, GOCO AND FALCONRY REGULATIONS ON TAP FOR NEXT COMMISSION WORKSHOP

PUEBLO, Colo. — The Commission will hear updates regarding the state’s Aquatic Nuisance Species program, Great and review falconry regulations at its Dec. 10 workshop in Pueblo. The Workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main Street.

Division staff will present a detailed comparison of new federal falconry regulations and current state falconry regulations.  The Commission is scheduled to review new draft state regulations in January and approve final falconry regulations at its March 2010 meeting.

Staff will also update the Commission on the state’s Aquatic Nuisance Species program, detailing the Division’s ongoing efforts to contain zebra/quagga mussels and manage other ANS in .

In addition, Great will update the Commission concerning funds allocated for Division of programs.
