FLY SEMINAR IN PUEBLO

PUEBLO, Colo. – The Division of is sponsoring a free "Fly 101" program on Sat., Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake Pueblo State .
 
The purpose of the clinic is to provide participants with the general knowledge on how to get started in the sport of fly-
 
"Fly- 101 is geared for beginners and those who have never fly-fished," said Jeremiah Johnson, a District Manager with the .  "It’s a great opportunity for a hands-on introduction to fly-." 
 
The seminar takes place in two sessions – indoor classroom instruction, plus "hands-on" instruction on the River below Pueblo Reservoir in the afternoon. 
 
The classroom session covers knot-tying, casting, fly selection, gear, and aquatic biology. 
 
The will provide the equipment, but a valid license is required to participate in the hands-on portion. 
 
The seminar is free.  Class size is limited to 20 anglers and pre-registration is required.  For more information, or to register, call (719) 561-5300.     
 
Lake Pueblo State is located at 640 Pueblo Reservoir Rd.
 
The price of an annual license is $26 for residents.  A one-day license is $9.  Youth under 16 do not need a license.
